I created the Impossibly Frugal blog to follow my family’s journey to get out of debt and live a more frugal lifestyle. As your typical millennials, my husband and I have more student loan and credit card debt than we care to admit. This has been a huge burden on us and has been weighing us down for years! Most of this debt came from excessive spending on unnecessary things because we weren’t living within our means. As a result, we have been living paycheck to paycheck and struggling to just keep our heads above water! We knew we had to take a stand and do something about the crazy amount of debt we had. That’s why we wanted to take steps to cut our expenses, save money, and ultimately become debt free. Our journey starts here, with trying to live a more frugal lifestyle.

In this day and age, everything has a price tag and it’s hard to distinguish between your wants and your needs. We live in a very materialistic society which causes people (ourselves included) to feel like they have to “Keep up with the Joneses”. It can seem pretty impossible to be frugal at times, which is why we knew we would have to do the impossible and just be “Impossibly Frugal”. We knew if we committed to it we could beat the odds and  live as frugal as possible every. single. day. To quote the great Nelson Mandela, “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” So we just did it.

This blog shares our journey and the tips and tricks we learned along the way. My hope is that this blog will inspire and help people like you that are trying to do the same. “Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” – Francis of Assisi
